Church History

Starting with a passionate desire to see Malachi 4:6 fulfilled, “He will turn the hearts of the fathers to their children and the hearts of the children to their fathers,” Activ8 was released as a satellite church from In the Light Ministries and held their first service on November 2nd, 2014.  Believing God for a great harvest and passionate about a multi-generational church who are doers of the word, live consistent lifestyles, and understand the responsibility that each generation has to lead the next, Pastors Jose and Minelly gave God their yes and Activ8 was birthed.  Since then, Activ8 has been established as a church plant and remains a part of the fellowship of In the Light Ministries.  

Our Mission & Vision

Our mission is to Activate the love of The Father in the hearts of today’s generation, and to mentor and disciple them to LOVE GOD and LOVE PEOPLE.

Our vision is to REACH everyone in our community with the love of the Father, and see them respond by committing their lives to Christ, TEACH them to grow in their faith, and empower them for service, RELEASE them to use their spiritual gifts for ministry, and to PARTNER with others to be Kingdom Builders.

How We See

The Church

  • We see a church where GENERATIONAL mentoring and discipleship is foundational to spiritual growth.

  • We see a church where believers grow together in small community groups called TRIBES. The purpose of TRIBES is to encourage each other to grow in our spiritual walk, develop disciplined and consistent lifestyles, serve each other and our community, lift each other up in prayer, and hold each other accountable.

  • We see a church where the WORSHIP experience is a dynamic building block toward a lifestyle of WORSHIP that extends beyond the walls of a building and beyond the limitations of a service time and schedule.

  • We see a church where people are given opportunities to grow in their faith and spiritual walk, and to develop their LEADERSHIP skills by actively serving in leadership positions under the guidance of more mature leaders.

Our Values

This is our core set of values at ACTIV8 CHURCH. This Code sets the tone and trajectory for an activated culture.

  1. GOD’S PRESENCE – Is our #1 priority in all our services & special events. We recognize that without Him we cannot accomplish anything of Kingdom value.  However, in Him and with His Presence we have everything that we need. His presence is what heals us, comforts us, guides us and breathes new life into our souls. We are a presence driven church.

  2. WE LOVE GOD FIRST & EVERYONE UNCONDITIONALLY – God’s greatest command is that we love Him with all of our heart, soul, strength and mind and that we love our neighbor as ourselves.  We will show this kind of love to everyone we encounter throughout our lives in a passionate way.

  3. WE LIVE CONSISTENT LIFESTYLES – God has given us everything we need to live a life of godliness and we believe in being an example to others in our speech, conduct, faith, love and purity.  

  4. WE ARE A GENERATION OF HONOR – We believe in honoring God above all else, honoring the generation before us and honoring the generation behind us. We freely give honor to those above us, those beside us and those we lead because of the calling and potential God has placed inside of each us.

  5. WE LEAD THE WAY IN GENEROSITY – Our team and church will go above and beyond to give sacrificially to the work of God in our Church and City. We are generous with our resources, relationships and personal redemption for the advancement of the Kingdom of God. 

  6. WE ARE UNITED UNDER ONE VISION – ACTIV8 CHURCH is built on the vision God gave Pastor Jose for this Church. We will aggressively defend our unity and that vision. 

  7. WE GIVE UP OUR SEAT – We will not cater to personal preference in our mission to reach the lost. We are more concerned with the people we are trying to reach, restore and release than trying to keep people happy. 

  8. WE DO EVERYTHING WITH EXCELLENCE – God is excellent and worthy of our best. Going beyond what is required and giving our best at all times, in everything we do brings joy to God’s heart and glory to His name. 

  9. WE POSITION OURSELVES TO LEARN – We aim to maintain a posture of constant learning. We are married to the mission, but we date the method and take the opportunities that God gives us to learn and glean from others.  

  10. WE ARE CLEAR IN OUR PURPOSE – We will speak vision and life over God’s people. We will lift up the salvation and name of Jesus rather than using our platform to condemn. 

  11. THE NEXT GENERATION – We are dedicated to reaching the next generation and equipping them to be fruitful men and women of God whose lives transform their sphere of influence and make an eternal impact in the world.

  12. DIVERSITY – We are committed to experiencing life as a diverse community. We believe each person reflects the beauty of our Maker in a unique way and that our individual differences complete us corporately.

  13. SERVING – God has placed in man a desire to be a part of something bigger than himself. We place high value on creating a worship experience that boldly celebrates Jesus and attracts people that are far from God. As we serve in His house, we experience the fulfillment of being part of something bigger than ourselves, being a servant of all and seeing His Kingdom purposes accomplished on the earth. 

  14. TEAMWORK – We do life together. As we work side by side, we share in the joy of uniting our unique strengths, abilities and gifts to accomplish God’s Kingdom purposes in our community and across the world.

  15. OUTREACH – We live in a world desperately seeking truth and hope. We exist to share the Gospel and see lives changed in our city, our nation and our world through practical ministry to people’s physical, emotional and spiritual needs.
